Having peace means believing that God is for you, loves you, and will protect you. Sometimes circumstances may flood our hearts with sorrow, but God promises to never leave us and we can find comfort in this. One day our days of sorrow will come to an end. Until then, we must navigate the world in gentle kindness, showing His love to those who need it. I cannot succumb to my sorrow, for there are people who need my joy. All I pray is for God to give me the strength to remain steadfast in His ways for this lamb easily goes astray. As John 16:22 says, “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” Writing this brings tears to my eyes, for I have faced sadness for so long, but I have faith that God will one day restore my heart and soul. Until that day comes, I will cling to my sweet psalms. Through writing & song, I will continue to voice not only my cries, but my praise to the God who gives and takes.
