Dear Lord,
I pray that you would help me have a heart of forgiveness towards anyone who has hurt me. I know that only the wounded inflict pain onto others. I come to you now asking to soothe their pain and guide them towards Your love.
When I think of forgiveness, I think of Jesus on the cross when He said “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34) What immeasurable love and beauty this request carried. May we look to Jesus as the perfect model of selfless love and everlasting forgiveness.
Help me continue to carry a heart of forgiveness and a posture of grace towards others, as Jesus did. I know it is by Your strength alone that I am able to do so. You are one who will never cast out, and for that I thank You.
